At Inventx you are part of a team that lives innovation at the interface between IT and banking. As an Application Engineer you take responsibility for the stable operation and the further development of business-critical applications — with a focus on end-to-end analysis, technical excellence and a high degree of personal responsibility.

What leeway do you have?

• You analyze, implement and maintain complex application landscapes on Unix and Windows systems – with a clear focus on stability and efficiency.

• You investigate failure scenarios and processes end-to-end, whether across REST APIs, databases or scripts, and find solutions that go beyond system boundaries.

• You automate manual tasks by creating professional Unix-based scripts, thereby ensuring smooth, efficient operations.

• You leverage your expertise in Unix/scripting and, to some extent, SQL.

• You support applications across the entire lifecycle, from requirements to stable operations – with an eye on the big picture.

• You take on technical responsibility, drive your topics forward actively and independently, and act as a competent point of contact for business units, developers and operations teams.

What do you bring?

• Knowledge of REST APIs, especially in analyzing and integrating services
• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work.
• You bring several years of experience in application engineering – ideally in the banking sector.
• You enjoy working hands-on, take on responsibility, and have a strong technical affinity.
• You see yourself as a team player with a high degree of independence and initiative.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of Windows environments > willingness to be trained in Finnova
