Inventx launches Enterprise Key Management Service in ix.Cloud

Whoever controls encryption controls the security of business-critical data. For banks and insurers, this very control is becoming a strategic leadership issue: regulatory pressure, hybrid cloud architectures, and the foreseeable threat posed by quantum computers are simultaneously increasing the requirements for security, scalability, and sovereignty. With the Enterprise Key Management Service (EKMS), Inventx is launching a new building block within its Enterprise Identity & Access Management Services. The service is based on a highly secure, highly available HSM infrastructure, operated in a specially protected zone of its own ix.Cloud and meeting the highest certification standards—including FIPS 140-2/3, EN 419 221-5, and NIST SP 800-90 A/B/C; moreover, the underlying technology is approved by NATO[KM1.1][UR1.2] for protecting Restricted information.

The challenge: complexity erodes security 

Until now, many paths have led to fragmented key management. Every cloud instance, every database, individual applications, and every PKI solution typically came with its own key management. The result: uncontrolled sprawl with numerous cryptography silos that are not only inefficient, opaque, and costly to operate, but also pose significant risks in terms of compliance, cybersecurity, and business continuity management. Inventx reduces precisely this complexity. We take over full operation of the hardware security modules (HSM) as well as the central platform for key management and cryptographic services for our customers. Customers benefit from flexible integration into their IT applications, databases, or cloud services (Azure Key-Vault & AWS Key-Store).
